From the beginning of Humans till 476 A.D. religious architecture could be found anywhere. From large stones in post and lintel found in Wiltshire, England to complex columns found on a plateau in Athens, Greece. Tombs, sacred grounds and temples for their Gods would be found across the world. One of the most famous religious architectures of all time, Stonehenge, could fit under all three of those categories. Stonehenge is famous because of its unique architecture during its time. You can find many traces of ancient religious architecture in modern architecture.
