The Medieval period which lasted from the fall of Rome, the central power in the world at the time, to the early 1400's. This period was mainly dominated by the new style of Gothic architecture. Gothic architecture used many different features than the average temple or church would have. Gothic used large windows, towers, spires, and the pointed arch. Most of the Gothic buildings that were built during this time were churches for the religion Christianity. You could of found Gothic architecture almost anywhere in Europe during this important age.
