The religious architecture in the non-western countries differed a lot from the architecture from Europe. From pyramids standing 146 meters tall (479 feet) to torii arches standing everywhere in Japan. The religions also differed like Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism and Islam. The characteristics of these religions are very different. Each religion had a unique style of architecture with the egyptians building pyramids out of giant stones, muslims building temples with many different domes and towers and the japanese crafting precise torii arches out of wood.
